Drugs Lecture
The lecture labeled drugs was one that sparked my interest. The slide explaining psychoactive drugs explained how other legal substances can be almost like a drug such as caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. I can attest to the caffeine addiction, I used to drink several cups of coffee everyday and got to the point I had to stop, and once I stopped drinking coffee I often experienced headaches which was sort of like a withdraw, often what someone may experience with drugs. I could definitely see how there are so many different sorts of "drugs" in the world and not all necessarily are illegal. Many people who may have a habit of something could often lead to an addiction. Something like smoking cigarettes could lead to an addiction, one that is harmful to your health and could even lead to withdraws. It is crazy to think how many people might be battling an addiction and how many people have different things that are almost like a drug to them.
